Even though this was my second to Osaka, Japan, I still loved every moment of this trip. Japan is such a cute and peaceful place with very convenient subway lines and friendly people. A few things have happened whilst I was in Osaka, there was one of its largest earthquakes, level 6.1, with a few deaths and lots of casualties. It happened on the first day of the trip whilst I was eating breakfast with my family at the hotel. Luckily no one was hurt, but it did cause many sights to be closed the following days which made our trip a bit difficult.
Including Universal Studios Japan, it opened at 11am instead of 9am and many rides where closed due to safety reasons, but fortunately we still got to ride its most popular rides. Obviously I was most excited for the Harry Potter Hogwarts area. Having read all the books and watched all the movies, I couldn't been more happy to have finally see it come alive. It felt like a dream come true. The streets were surreal and I couldn't stop myself from buying Hermione's wand. We took many photos and also rode the minion ride in the cute minion park with our fast pass. I would love to visit again.
After spending the entire first day at Universal Studios Japan, we decided to have a chill city tour, going to many temples and the famous Shinsaibashi for a shopping session. The lights at night were so beautiful and overwhelming and the streets were full of people and very decorative, cute stores. Needless to say we ate many ramen and okonomiyaki and bought a lot of food. Despite some rains and closed temples, Osaka was a pleasant and happy city which I would love to go back again.
