Salzburg Austria, the hometown of the world renown musician Wolfgang Mozart. Wonderful views, amazing streets and delicious food.
Getreidegasse was the street Mozart grew up in. I was able to visit his family's apartment and see letters he sent, the music he wrote and some of his belongings. But what was the most exciting to me was his piano. Long and thin, still have the white and black keys opposite to what they are now. The street itself was incredibly beautiful as well. Lots of small, cute shops were filled with tourists. I think what made Getreidegasse even more special was the individual and unique designs of the stores' logo. Each one is different and all were stunning. Despite the cloudy sky during the trip, untersburg was still a stop on the list. The view was a little bit blurry and covered, but I still really enjoyed the cable ride up the mountain and seeing the view.
Hallstatt was a short stop. The houses along the lake were very new and different. There were many cute stores selling cute little souvenirs. What I enjoyed the most was just taking a walk along the lake and looking at the scenery with the soft wind blowing.
It was a very relaxing few day in Austria. I love all the places I visited and they left a good impression on me. Definitely, I will not forget Getreidegasse, being a piano student, it felt unreal and fortunate to see Mozart's house. Austria is such a friendly and calming country, I would love to go back again sometime.
[Places visited: Getreidegasse, Untersberg, Schloss Hellbrunn, Festung Hohensalzburg, Hallstatt]
