Escaping the cold and wet weather in Taiwan, I visited the tropical land to enjoy the beaches and ocean in Hua Hin, Thailand. The city took a 5 hour car ride to reach from Bangkok but it was definitely worth it.
Extremely sunny and warm climate of 30 degrees lightened up my day as the beaches were so calming and soothing to walk around. The hotel screamed summer and nature, it links directly to the beach and provides lounge chairs which were incredibly comfortable. Fortunately, there were only a few people on the beach and I just lay there and observed the sky for a few hours after swimming in the ocean. The afternoons were serene which allowed some alone and quiet times for thinking and just relaxing.
There're a few famous night markets in Hua Hin, I visited the Chatsilla Night Market and the Cicada Market. Both were very clean and lively. I tried lots of street food like nutella crepe with banana and Thailand's well known dessert, mango with sticky rice, and they were delicious. The markets sell various different handmade things like tie-dye clothes, bags and small cute accessories which I couldn't resist buying.
Everyone was super friendly and I felt so welcomed in the times I spent there. They were very polite and offered to help when we got lost. The entire trip in Hua Hin was the best escape from stress and anxiety I could ever ask for. There's no doubt that I will go back for another short break.
